Fluorite mining

Fluorite Mining is carried out by open cast method, using heavy earth moving equipment of 0.9cum, 0.17cum hydraulic excavators with 7 tonnes dumpers. The capacity of the mine is 500 tonnes per day. Fluorite open cast mining operation is carried out semi-mechanization. Fluorite of different grade is obtained manually by hand breaking & sorting method.

Fluorite Ore was extracted from vertical vein mines by sinking shafts adjacent to the ore bodies and driving drifts or levels into the ore body at various intervals, generally 100 feet, and extracting the Fluorite ore by the shrink stope method. Small rail cars were used to transport the mined Fluorite ore to the shaft for hoisting to the surface. In the smaller Fluorite mining operations, the miners pushed the loaded cars to the shaft. The larger Fluorite mines used mules to pull several cars at a time. Many of these mules spent their entire working lives in the mines never seeing the light of day. In more recent times, motorized tramcars were used to move the loaded cars. Diesel powered trucks were generally used to haul ore to the shaft in the bedded ore deposits.

Jaw crusher for fluorite: Jaw crusher is the primary crusher, it is used in fluorite coarse crushing process to crush fluorite mine into small particles. In the large fluorite mine, fluorite mining adopt large jaw crusher for crushing, while small scale fluorspar mining plant uses small jaw crusher.

Cone crusher is the fine crushing machine used in fluorite processing plant. After crushing process, fluorite is less than 15 mm. It is the common fluorspar mining equipment for mine deposit.

Grinding mill used for fluorite processing

Ball mill is the most common used fluorite ore dressing machinery. After grinding, fluorite is less than 0.074mm. In order to get Concentrates, re-grinding process is essential. The final size of fluorite powder is usually 100 mesh, 200 mesh, 400 mesh.

Vibtating screen is used in fluorite screening process. It usually use four-level screen in fluorite processing plant. It is used to sieve the suitable fluorite grains for next processing.
