Ore crushing plant: Chrome ore crushing plant is used to crush and grind chrome ores into small particles for further Chrome ore beneficiation process. Concentration system: Chrome ore concentration plant is used for ore mineral concentration. It is the main step for chrome ore beneficiation plant. Gravity separation is the best proven and accepted technique of concentrating minerals and has been used as a primary form of mineral concentration. Due to its high efficiency and low cost, gravity separation is always the first consideration in any flowsheet development program and always features in any flowsheet where there is sufficient differences between the specific gravity and particle size of the valuable and gangue minerals.
Tailings handling and water recycle system: The Chrome concentrate is coarse grained (98.79% is >0.038 mm size) while the Chrome tailings is fine grained (44.69% is < 0.038 mm size). The Chrome tailing was cleaned in ball mill and treated in tabling to obtain a concentrate with 51.8% Cr2O3. The bulk rejects in the experiments was fine grained (50.51% is < 0.038 mm size), contained 10.56% Cr2O3 and 16.47% chromite values out of which 11.10% is distributed in minus 0.038 mm size fractions.
Product dewatering and handling system: It is the late step for the chrome ore beneficiation plant. Sludge dewatering is typically handled by a Filter Press. After processing a batch of "sludge" the filter press is emptied of “chrome cake” which is a semi solid of approximately 20-35 % solids. Chrome cake is high in chrome and sulfite and should be disposed of according to environmental regulations.
